Helmet Time

process:

* Acquire helmet, Scrape / Sand off old paint.
* Tape off areas you do not want paint on.
* Primer. I used an acrylic primer for outdoor furniture.
* Paint! Don't go to thick, and really don't leave brush strokes... they will all show up in the end. Try to not layer colors either.
* Un-tape& touch up. This is super important because you might have it chip off at the base coat when it comes off, so good to have it chip prior to top coat.
* Re-tape. I'm not redundant, I'm being safe!
* Top coat. I used a combination, poly acrylic base painted on for super control, one coat. Then 3 coats of a high gloss finish designed for outdoor patio furniture. I like the patio stuff because it seems to last forever and is really hard to damage.
*Put on head. You are now protected, and a walking piece of art!
